About
Jacqueline Quasney
Principal/Owner
Jacqueline grew up on the Puget Sound beachcombing the rocky shores and watching marine traffic from her bedroom window. Born into a family of creatives, her dad was often found making furniture and stained glass in their garage, and her mom was an interior decorator by trade. After her father was tragically killed when she was six, her mom remarried a local general contractor, and they started a family business building custom homes throughout the greater South Seattle area. Jacqueline remembers assisting her mom and new step-dad on each project and eventually grew up moving eleven times from house to house after completion.
As an adult, Jacqueline moved East with short stints in Washington D.C., London, U.K., and back to San Francisco before settling on Mercer Island in 2020. After many years in corporate marketing roles, she began shadowing her mom again and worked with a few prestigious design firms before ultimately deciding to start her own firm, Q Design Studio, in 2023.
As a designer, Jacqueline takes a holistic approach when creating beautiful spaces that are highly functional with a classic, more traditional flair that will last a lifetime. She especially loves historic homes and the challenge of balancing their character and charm with modern updates.
Jacqueline is a member of the Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID) and sits on the board for the Mercer Island Schools Foundation. She has a master’s in arts from Georgetown University and a certificate in applied color for designers from the New York School of Interior Design.
